First Photo of Delhi CM Rekha Gupta’s Attacker Released
The first image of the man who allegedly attacked Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta during a Jan Sunwai programme at her Civil Lines residence on Wednesday morning has been accessed by Times Now.
The accused has been identified as Rakesh Bhai Khimji (41), a resident of Gujarat. According to sources, Khimji initially handed some papers to the Chief Minister during the public hearing before allegedly launching the attack. He was quickly identified by police officials and detained for questioning.
Senior officers rushed to the spot, and further investigation into the incident is currently underway.
Reacting to the incident, Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva strongly condemned the attack, calling it “unacceptable” and extending support to the Chief Minister.
